As it has been the norm for the past 4 quarters, The Broker Forum is happy once again to deliver our Quarterly report.
We
are very glad to announce that membership numbers, activity (both on
the website and on public pages), number of escrow transactions, and a
host of other correlated key performance indicators are all showing
growth. This is indeed great news for the industry as trading is
resuming at an increasing pace and business is finally picking up.
Here are some of the key highlights of this past quarter:
Our new public website continues showing good results
The
number of incoming membership requests has continued to climb since
last quarter, the bulk of the increase coming from our newly installed
Free Trial form. We are very excited with this development which has
contributed to the increase of our membership base, as well as, drive
new types of business opportunities for our members.
Escrow services hit a record high
We
have never been this busy in our escrow department. We trust this is
both a reflection of the state of the industry, as well as recognition
of the value of our service to our members. Our team has been stellar
in coping with the increase in the number of transactions.
We
successfully completed the PPS initiative implementation. Designed
specifically to meet the needs of those members who cannot comply to
increasingly stringent ISCP rules, the PPS program allows supplier to
gain better visibility on Search results. One key to this successful
implementation has been our pledge to not upset the balance between
tagged and non tagged inventory.
Search Engine, small tweaks, great feedback !
Listening
to your customers is the oldest and most fundamental intelligence
gathering tool. We did just that by implementing stock upload Timestamp
as a key driver to positioning your inventory on top of TBF search
results. Simple, but effective !.
TBF World Tour, first stop: Moscow !
For
the first time last October, TBF World Tour stopped by at ChipExpo
Moscow, Russia’s largest electronics components trade fair. We
introduced a new concept this year, by creating a Broker Forum
networking space, and allowing members to display their services and
meet prospective local and international partners. The event was highly
successful and we would like to thank our sponsors for their support. Next stop: Shenzhen in May 2010
Looking ahead
We
are very exited at The Broker Forum`s prospects for the next quarter.
We are currently extremely busy testing a series of new features built
around value initiatives for our members, and we look forward to the
opportunity of introducing these in the coming months.
In the
meantime, all of us at The Broker Forum would like to thank our members
for their continued support, and look forward to any comments you might
have about our services.
Best regards,
Jean-Michel Stam Vice-President, Operations The Broker Forum
