TBF launches new member feedback initiative

The Broker Forum, the largest online trading community for the electronic components industry, has helped thousands of members develop new business opportunities both at the local and international level. Today more than ever, it is important to gather as much information as possible on current and especially prospective business partners. It is with this in mind that the Broker Forum is launching the Member Feedback initiative, designed to allow members who have done business together to rate each other in a fair and open manner.

How it works

All-new Vendor Rating with 5 criteria Members who have done business with each other will now be able to "rate" their business partner based on the quality of the transaction. The new format makes it easier than ever to leave feedback for another member. A Positive, Neutral or Negative rating can be awarded by each party involved in the transaction. Additionally, buyers will be able to provide more detailed information regarding the transaction using the all-new Vendor Rating feature. All of these enhancements will be available by accessing the new Feedback Profile page, which connects to the Company Profile and allows easy access to published and pending feedback.

Safeguards
Both Buyers and Sellers will have the opportunity to reply to the other party using the Member Feedback System, so that any member with a negative feedback will have the opportunity of adding a reply to the other member's comments. In addition, The Broker Forum will be screening any feedback that is deemed inappropriate or does not comply with the Feedback System Terms and Conditions.

Helping the industry police itself
The Member Feedback system is one of several initiatives The Broker Forum is undertaking to help the industry police itself. ISCP members will have noticed that we have increased the frequency of inventory spot checks, and that ISCP strikes have been stepped up. We are checking stocking vendors inventory regularly to identify correlations. Proven counterfeiters, as well as members with patterns of "bad" behaviour are excluded from The Broker Forum on a consistent basis. However, member vigilance remains the cornerstone of this process and we look forward to the successful implementation of the Member Feedback system to empower members in the process of keeping the electronic components trading industry safe.
