Until now, The Broker Forum Search results
always assumed that a member’s location and stock location were one and the
same. However it’s now common practice to have a warehouse in one country and a
sales office in another country. In order to increase the quality of the information to our buyers, we
will from now on distinguish the principal business address from the location of
the inventory by replacing the Region with “STOCK LOCATION” in the search results.
This change will take place gradually over the
next couple of months to give time to our members to adjust to this new
approach. We will work closely with the members that have different locations
to reflect the correct information for their benefit as well as the buyers.
Once this is fully implemented, all inventory
lines for members based in the USA with Stock in France (for example) will
appear as being in France in the Stock location column in the search results,
while their profile will retain their principal business address as being in
the USA.
